This wood is made black with a dye stain which maintains the wood grain and texture of the wood while changing the color. This bench can be made in any type of wood which would offer varying degrees of visible and palpable grain patterns and textures. The process in would Oak would offer and much more distinctive wood character given to more porous grain of oak.
